About Trish, Owner and Founder
Hi, I’m Trish Tiebout, owner of I&R Puppy Spa, LLC. I launched this business in September 2017 right after getting my dog grooming certification in August. I wanted more time with my family, especially as my daughter was heavily involved in school and travel volleyball.
My passion for dogs and the local need for accessible grooming services led me to start this venture. I’m grateful for the amazing support from our community, which has allowed me to expand into dog boarding and, with my son Austin’s expertise, K9 obedience training.
Every furry friend, whether they come for a full grooming or just nail trimming, holds a special place in my heart. Building trust with shy or anxious pups brings me immense joy, seeing them wag their tails instead of tucking them away.
Looking ahead, I aim to grow the business by hiring more groomers and eventually offering doggie daycare alongside expanding our boarding services. Personally, I aspire to obtain my Pet Aesthetician Certification to better assist dogs with skin issues, enhancing their quality of life.
About Austin, Head Trainer
Meet Austin, a true Utica native with a passion for working with animals. Having spent the last three years at I&R Puppy Spa, LLC, he’s worn many hats – from assistant manager to dog bather, and now, a certified dog trainer since May 2023.
Austin thrives on building connections with our furry friends, whether it’s earning their trust, engaging in playtime, or teaching new skills. His dedication extends beyond the pups themselves; he’s equally committed to educating their parents on continuing the learning process at home.
With a keen eye on the future, Austin is excited to further his expertise in dog training. He firmly believes in the power of positive reinforcement, ensuring a nurturing and effective approach in every session.
About Cash, Shop Dog
Hey there, I’m Cash, the “big dog” around here – or so they say! I was born right here in Utica on August 14, 2021. Working alongside Austin is my jam, and I take pride in showing off my skills.
One of my specialties? Helping out with leash training for other pups. But when I’m not on duty, you’ll find me having a blast with the little ones, playing games like chase and keep away. And when the sun’s out, you’ll catch me splashing around in the baby pools with my buddy Smoke – can’t resist a good cool-down session!

When it comes to I&R Puppy Spa, 5 stars does not do it justice. Trish and her family love animals and take pride in making sure each one is treated like family. The spa, front, kennels and property are so clean and designed for the animals comfort and open for no customer to go unnoticed. Our pups will only be boarded at I&R. We know that they aren’t stuck in a cage and walked minimally like most kennels. When our dogs are boarded they are played with, exercised, and treated like royalty. Our pups love going to stay at the spa. Ears perk up and they shoot for the car when we tell them where they are going. They get so excited when they get to go and they also have their friends including Trish, Cash, and the rest of the crew.
